Software Engineer - Responsibilities:

Develop features for the web-based database application that is core to our interactions with experts and clients
Maintain database design to ensure efficiency and scalability
Work actively with front-line team members of our Product and Operations teams to identify problems and design solutions that increase their efficiency
Develop a strong understanding of our fast-moving business, developing tight-knit relationships with building custom software features based on Return on Investment (ROI)
Utilize creative problem-solving skills to tackle complex solutions
Contribute to custom software quality assurance by participating in test planning and execution
Build positive relationships with team members and foster a collaborative work environment
Consistently deliver high-quality output, ensuring all technical issues are resolved efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Computer Science or software engineering preferred, not required)
2-8 years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer, focused on database and back end, with experience in developing web apps
Proficient in Kotlin and Java
Experience with the Spring web app framework
Experience in database management and design
Familiarity with implementation of GDPR, ISO, SOC 2 and other commonly required data security paradigms
Experience with AWS administration
Proficient in SQL for reporting and business intelligence
Strong interpersonal and English verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility to work remotely and during off-hours as necessary
Excellent time management skills and unwavering commitment

Preferred Qualifications (A+):

Experience in front-end engineering
Experience working with popular generative AI models, and integrating them into other applications
Proficient in Vue.js
Proficient in Python
Recently acquired certifications (not required but a plus)
Familiarity with custom software quality assurance, test planning, and execution

Benefits + Compensation:

Competitive compensation program + sign-on bonus + performance bonus + $1,200 stipend + $600 phone reimbursement + company-sponsored meal plan. The base salary for this role is $100,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience and alignment to the above qualifications.
