We are seeking an experienced Azure and virtual desktop subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale VDI environments, with a focus on migrations to Azure virtual desktop and Windows 365. An extensive background with enterprise-scale Citrix deployments is also a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic guidance and advisory services to stakeholders on the utilization of virtual desktops on Azure to meet organizational goals of a large-scale migration off of an existing Citrix deployment.
Lead the design and architecture of scalable and secure Azure based virtual desktop solutions, considering factors such as performance, security, and compliance.
Implement and optimize Azure based virtual desktop environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. This would include both Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 solutions.
Collaborate with project teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Develop advanced automation strategies through Terraform or integrated PowerShell scripting to customize and manage Azure resources.
Act as a subject matter expert in implementing advanced security measures for virtual desktops, addressing compliance requirements and industry standards.
Provide guidance on data protection, identity management, and access controls.
Guide migration planning based off industry trends and emerging technologies related to virtualization and cloud end-user computing.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and/or Windows 365.
Proven experience in large-scale deployments and migrations to Windows 365.
Hands-on expertise in the design, implementation, and optimization of virtual desktop Azure based solutions.
Strong knowledge of user profile management solutions and policies.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate deployment and configuration tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
