Patriot Products, LLC is a growing central Indiana company focused on the development of innovative training products for the US military and its allies. We are actively seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of new training systems.
Develop software and custom applications with a focus on desktop geospatial applications.
Work as a part of an integrated development team on the creation of complex applications.
Participate in system functional testing, de-bug and customer acceptance.
Develop and maintain system documentation packages.
Troubleshoot a wide variety of technical issues.
Support customers in the ongoing operation of fielded systems.
Support cost estimating of new products and systems.
Other responsibilities as required in support of organizational priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience.
3+ years’ work experience in Firmware Engineering desired.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
Working knowledge of GIS software and GIS principals.
Experience with C/C++, Python 2.x/3.x, Microsoft .NET (C#, VB .NET) and JavaScript.
Familiarity with open-source mapping application technologies such as, but not limited to OpenLayers, Leaflet, Mapbox and GeoServer, a plus.
Experience with source control practices and software such as GitHub.
Experience with microcontroller integration and PC Board development a plus.
Must be strong in evaluating available resources and develop a project schedule with the ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Former military service a plus.
Occasional national and international travel to customer sites is required.
Successful drug screen completion and government background check is required.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
