We have an exciting opportunity for an ERP Developer to join our team and help grow our business! The successful candidate will be proficient in Pick Basic, SQL, and UniVerse and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting our ERP system. This role requires an experienced professional who excels in designing and implementing ERP solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the system’s performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Maintenance:
1. Design, develop, and enhance ERP system functionality using Pick Basic, SQL, and UniVerse.
2. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that aligns with business needs and best practices.
3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. Implement updates, patches, and system upgrades to ensure ERP systems remain current and secure.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
5. Provide high-level technical support for the ERP system, ensuring timely issue resolution.
6. Troubleshoot and debug system errors, working with cross-functional teams to address root causes.
7. Perform regular system diagnostics and performance tuning to optimize ERP functionality.
System Maintenance & Documentation:
8. Conduct routine system monitoring, backup, and maintenance tasks to ensure the ERP environment's stability.
9. Document all development work, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
10. Maintain system integrity by enforcing security and data governance policies.
Collaboration & Leadership:
11. Work closely with IT and business teams to align ERP system functionality with organizational goals.
12. Proactively recommend system improvements and enhancements to support business growth.
The Person
The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. This person will take initiative, critically think, seek out the appropriate sources needed to reach goals, and enjoy working in a team environment.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. 5+ years of experience in ERP development with proficiency in Pick Basic, SQL, and UniVerse.
3. Ability to interface with others in order to determine needs and/or assist them with issues.
4. Strong understanding of ERP system architecture, data structures, and workflows.
5. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
6. Familiarity with additional ERP systems and modern programming languages, such as .NET, cXML.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
10. Attention to research and interface with third party applications.
11. Ability to learn new technologies and software and hardware components.
