PayClock Online is web-based time clock software system that gives the customer the ability to manage employee time and attendance from any location, at any time. It allows you to capture, edit and seamlessly integrate your workforce time and attendance data into payroll systems such as ADP, QuickBooks, Paychex, etc.
Our Junior Customer Solutions Developer will be responsible for providing custom reporting and export solutions for our customers. They will work closely with customers to understand their specific export and reporting needs, develop customized solutions, and ensure they meet the customers' requirements. You will be responsible for gathering specifications, developing, testing, and delivering high-quality custom exports and reports in a timely manner. Secondary responsibilities include providing support to the rest of the web development team in addressing backlog items and bugs.
Our Junior Customer Solutions Developer must be able to participate and collaborate within a scrum team environment in a timely and responsive manner. Our Developer will need to stay up to date with rapidly developing technologies and methodologies. Our Developer will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the established Lathem standard of quality, reliability, ease of use, and performance. Lathem is a fast-paced development environment, and our new Junior Customer Solutions Developer must be able to maintain pace independently in an organization that moves quickly, with a sense of urgency.
- Work directly with customers and internal resources to gather detailed specifications for custom exports and reports
- Provide expertise and guidance on the technical feasibility of requested features
- Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the development process, ensuring timely updates and handling feedback effectively
- Develop, customize, and maintain exports and reports based on customer requirements
- Document the development process, code, and customer requirements for future reference
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to reports or export functionality
- Conduct thorough testing of developed exports and reports to ensure accuracy, functionality, and performance
- Ensuring that code is functional, properly documented, and integration tested; all code must meet the Lathem standard of being free of errors and omissions before being handed off to our QA team for testing
- Able to successfully work in a fast-paced, multi-directional environment with an emphasis on SCRUM practices, procedures, ceremonies, and beliefs
- Maintaining frequent communication with team members and collaborating closely with them throughout the development process
- Remaining engaged with new technologies, coding, tooling, and development strategies by being able to learn and adapt quickly, strategize implementation, and taking on research opportunities independently
- Maintaining a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently by taking on tasks with little to no assistance

- Excellent and clear written, verbal, and facilitative communication skills
- Professional customer collaboration skills: 1+ year(s)

- Proficiency in writing C# in a professional setting: 1+ year(s)
- Experience with the Microsoft stack: .NET ecosystem, MVC/Web API: 1+ year(s)
- Experience with building and consuming REST web services: 1+ year(s)
- Experience with writing queries and performant stored procedures for Microsoft SQL Server: 1+ year(s)
- Version control systems: 1+ years
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Home internet and network capabilities for remote working
- Ability to speak fluent English with strong interpersonal skills
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science
- Experience with reading and writing Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD)
- Experience with Telerik
- Experience with .Net 6/7/8 (.Net Core) preferred

This position is a hybrid remote position in Atlanta, Georgia. You are required to work Monday through Thursday in office and can work remotely on Fridays. The number of days you are allowed to work remotely will increase with experience with our team.
