The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer who loves building scalable data-driven products. Our front-end developer should be able to translate user-friendly designs into crisp code and thoughtful experiences for our customers. This person will work alongside our development and product teams to determine customer needs, brainstorm solutions, generate website mockups and prototypes, present work to customers, and develop and optimize live platforms. We’re looking for someone who is quick, technically strong, and not afraid to ask questions. An understanding of not just how to code but why certain code works is essential.
What You’ll Do:
· Proficiency in Next.js and React with strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
· Experience with legacy Angular, jQuery and Asp.NET is a bonus, for maintaining and updating older systems.
· Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
· Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS for building responsive, performant, and accessible UI’s.
· Experience with version control systems like Git (branching, merging, pull requests).
· Familiarity with modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.) and package managers (npm, yarn, pnpm).
· Ability to write clean, reusable, and modular code that adheres to best practices.
· Create design- and user-focused experiences.
· Build personalized and customized features for users.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
· Develop standard code that can serve as the foundation of future projects.
· Perform tasks accurately and to our quality standards.
· Experience working in agile or collaborative environments, with strong communication skills for teamwork.
· Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
· Architect, develop, and maintain innovative and engaging data driven products.
· Launch, iterate and make a difference. Provide coding expertise and be ready to make our products better for our users.
· Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from Marketing and Product Management.
· Participate in team discussions and review of code to ensure best practices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Experience in building functional and effective platforms.
· Fluency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
· Strong technical portfolio that demonstrates a broad range of abilities.
· Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with all levels of management
· Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· 2+ years Software development experience with PHP, Node.js, JavaScript, MySQL, OOP.
· 2+ years of experience with AWS Aurora/MySQL and Elasticsearch cluster architectures, design and deployments
· Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
· Two or more years in front-end development

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
