Full Stack Developer
Organization: Destination Imagination, Inc. is a dynamic international non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and equipping youth to imagine and innovate through the creative process.
Job Summary- Destination Imagination, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for the full website development life cycle from conception to deployment. The position will reside within the Software Engineering Department (SE) and is fully remote.
The Full Stack Developer, should be comfortable with both front-end (JS, CSS, HTML) and back-end coding languages (PHP, MySQL), development frameworks (MVC, Codeigniter preferred), and third-party libraries. Wordpress familiarity is also a plus.
Responsibilities -
- Build and design front-end aspects of our DMS (data management system) under the direction of the SE department, including mobile responsive design & customer experience optimization
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and web-based applications
- Work with external APIs to integrate other systems and programs with our own
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing code bases
- Write, comment, test, and deploy secure and safe code
Requirements -
- Experience with & portfolio of developed mobile-friendly websites in CSS/HTML/JS
- Knowledge of front-languages and libraries (HTML/CSS/Javascript/XML/jQuery)
- Understanding of databases (MySQL preferred) and demonstrated ability to write efficient and sometimes complex data selection queries
- Knowledge of back-end programming languages, specifically PHP
- Understanding of/experience with MVC style frameworks (Codeigniter)
- Understanding of code repositories (Git/SVN)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- UI/UX Experience and portfolio
- Great attention to detail
- Creative problem solver
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
