Red Hat Engineer
Location: Hickam AFB
Job Description:
Serve as a Red Hat Engineer
Provide expertise in RHEL, including:
- Installation, Configuration, and Administration
Create and manage:
- Linux shell scripting (Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages)
- Package Management
- RH Satellite or similar
- SELinux and security configurations on RHEL
- Automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Provide security hardening including FIPS and DISA STIG hardening for RHEL
Qualifications:
BS in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or a related
8+ years of experience in:
- Linux system administration, preferably in an enterprise environment
- Support of production servers and critical applications
Certifications:
- RH Certified Systems Admin (RHCSA)
- RH Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Experience with the following technologies:
- Virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, or Hyper-V)
- Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, and host firewalls)
- Containerization technologies (Docker, Podman)
- Orchestration platforms (Kubernetes or OpenShift)
- Storage management (LVM, RAID, and SAN/NAS)
Experience creating and deploying containers
Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance
