DCI Job Requirement for:
Network Architect
Location: Herndon, VA
Job Description:
Serve as a Network Architect supporting a government customer
Provide technical guidance and direction for:
- TCP/IP transport network design
- Engineering
- Networking routing protocols
- Advanced virtual networking technologies
Utilize other automation tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc.)
Identify INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network
Analyze the optimization of network system performance
Oversee the strategic interface of network systems configuration
Assess network engineering technologies and compute hardware and software protocols
Provide high-level technical advice and guidance to manager
Oversee the strategic interface of network systems configuration
Establish overall strategic network standards and priorities
Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with a Full-Scope Polygraph
16+ years of experience with:
- Designing, implementing Cloud, Enterprise, and Service provider Networks
- Network Hardening, Cloud Migration, and Ansible Automation.
Deep knowledge of MPLS, TCIP/IP, VPN and IP telephony
Experience developing IP/MBLS network architecture
Experience developing and executing MPLS VPN Service Standards for global network
Linux Systems Engineering experience, including:
- AWS Deployment, Apache/Ngnix, PostgreSQL
- Linux, KVM virtualization, Bash and Pearl Scripting
Red Hat Ansible Automation experience
Cisco IOS-including switching, routing, segment routing, and other technologies
Enterprise Architecture frameworks and principles
Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) Support
Cloud experience (AWS, VPC, transit gateway, private link, ELB, ELB, etc.)
Azure connectivity services experience:
- Vnet, Virtual WAN, VPN gateway
- Application protection, application delivery and network monitoring, etc.
Model Based System Engineering (MBBSE) principles
Knowledge of SecDevOps on iterative development projects
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of Agile development principles
Knowledge of modern software languages (e.g. Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.)
CCIE and JNCIE Certifications
