ASRC is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Junior Developer position to support our customer at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Job Description:
As a Junior Developer supporting or INSCOM, you will play a vital role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications supporting the INSCOM Reporting and Investment System (IRIS). Your contributions will support critical Army intelligence and operational missions. This position requires technical expertise in .NET/C# programming, SQL Server database management, and adherence to secure development practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, testing, and deployment of IRIS applications and associated databases using .NET/C#.
- Collaborate with the team to analyze system requirements and design technical solutions to meet mission objectives.
- Provide technical documentation for developed solutions and ensure compliance with Army and DoD regulations.
- Conduct system troubleshooting and implement updates to maintain application reliability.
- Perform structured query development and data integration tasks with SQL Server.
- Assist with information assurance (IA) and cybersecurity activities related to application development.
- Participate in Agile development processes and follow DevSecOps practices to ensure timely and secure deployments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in .NET/C# programming and SQL Server database management.
- DoD Top-Secret clearance required
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Relevant certifications in software development or cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer [MCSD], or equivalent) are highly desired.
- Familiarity with Army intelligence systems and secure development practices is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile frameworks and DevSecOps methodologies is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team.
Work Environment:
- Primary work location: Fort Belvoir, VA.
- Telework may be authorized as per contract requirements, subject to approval.
