Our Midstream Oil and Gas client is looking for a Contract to Hire .NET Developer in Houston, TX (Hybrid: 4 days onsite/1 days work from home). You will be responsible for coding, developer testing, debugging, documenting, implementing, and maintaining new and existing software applications.
Essential functions:
- Analyze requirements, maintain, and integrate application components.
- Deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade, and support IT services and systems.
- Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.
- Provide day-to-day support and participate in after-hours on-call support.
- Collaboration with team members and users to define code requirements or deficiencies.
- Collaborate with vendors, business users, programmers, network administrators, systems analysts, and database analysts in resolving problems with software products or systems.
- Develop and utilize standard templates to document/review technical specifications.
- Participate in technical research/projects as required, which could include leading such activities on smaller-scale initiatives
- Learn new technologies, as needed, to effectively complete related work and to propose emerging technologies.
- Assist in the development of business continuity plans and procedures to support the continuance of planned company operations during a business disruption.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in C# and Angular plus one or more of the following languages:
- .NET stack: such as ASP.NET or .NET Core
- JavaScript, including Typescript and ES6
- 1+ years of experience developing applications in AWS including experience with Lambda, S3, SNS, and SQS
- Experience with RESTful web services Strong understanding
- Knowledge of agile methodologies
- Knowledge of domain-driven design and application design patterns
- Knowledge of QA processes and test-driven development
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, And Experience:
- Experience with common JavaScript libraries/frameworks (React, Vue)
- Familiar with relational (SQL) and non-relational (document, key-value, column, graph) databases
