Position Summary
A Senior Application Engineer will work as a Subject Matter Expert for the development team creating and maintaining software related to the CommunityWFM product offering. This position will collaborate with and at times lead the team on software projects, design complex software programs and applications, and incorporate internal and external feedback in software product development.
A Senior Application engineer will demonstrate advanced software development skills and extensive experience in determining software needs. A top-notch Senior Application Engineer will be someone whose software design expertise translates into user-friendly and highly efficient applications.
Responsibilities
- Build innovative solutions that make a difference for our customers
- Create and improve the design, coding and testing for high-quality software
- Own projects end-to-end, keeping teams and stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed
- Document work by writing technical specifications, user specifications and test cases
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the product requirements and designs are translated into relevant test cases and automated scripts
- Analyzing existing systems to provide recommendations for improvement
- Performing system risk and reliability analysis
- Assessing new technologies before adoption and implementation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Cloud computing using the Microsoft stack (C#, AWS)
- Expert in C#, JavaScript, jQuery, TSQL, ASP.Net and other object-oriented programming languages
- Expert in Azure DevOps, Git
- Docker, Containers, Message Queues knowledge
- Expert in designing, debugging and documentation
- Hands on experience with IIS and SQL Server
- Working knowledge of Windows server: installation, application logs, resource usage, and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communications skills
- Ability to engage and collaborate at all levels of management
- Aptitude in decision making and problem solving
- Workforce management industry, including data collection and analysis, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting is a nice to have
- Relevant bachelor's degree preferred
