Software Engineer Job Description
Semiprobe designs and manufactures probe stations to be used by semiconductor manufacturers around the world to qualify, test, and improve their products. Our software engineer is responsible for writing and configuring our software to perform our customers’ tests accurately and productively.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be the point source for our software development. Will help the team design turnkey solutions for the new customers and upgrade packages for existing customers.
Travel to customer site for installations, upgrades, and service visits as needed. Explain the various uses of our tools to customers and complete user training to ensure our systems are accepted.
The job requires integrating multiple tools into to a single working system. The goal is to enable the user to control all elements of the test using a simple and robust GUI.
The candidate will act as project manager for some complex system integrations.
Specify and order hardware and software required for product.
Write manuals, help files, guides as well as assist the marketing team with articles.

Requirements
- BS in computer science or electrical engineering. Masters a plus.- Proficiency in C++, C Sharp and VB in a .NET environment, other languages are desired.- Robotics, motion control, or automation experience- Experience with vision systems integration is a plus.- Very good math skills and able to do research and generate reports.- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.- Ability to travel in the US and abroad as needed.- Project management, communication and writing skills.- Proficient in Microsoft and Windows applications.
