Cisco ISE Security Engineer Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing hands-on Network and Security engineering to include deployment projects and initiatives. Specifically configuring, deploying and administering Cisco ISE. Work within a team environment and apply knowledge of IT and network engineering concepts to complete projects and initiatives. Troubleshooting and decision making both with and without team support.

Job Description

Looking for JSA CloudPak and AlgoSec experience

Firewall Policy Management

Conduct a review of current firewall policies and rules.

Work on cleaning up cluttered or unused policies in collaboration with application owners.

Document changes and update firewall configurations as needed.

Developing Automated Auditing Systems

Spend time coding and developing features for the automated auditing system.

Test new scripts or tools designed to detect vulnerabilities and manage firewall policies more efficiently.

Security Design and Implementation

Work on designing and implementing new security measures for mobility applications.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate security protocols into the application development lifecycle.

Review and update security documentation.

Developing Automated Auditing Systems

Test new scripts or tools designed to detect vulnerabilities and manage firewall policies more efficiently.

Incident Response and Investigation

If there have been any security alerts or incidents, spend time investigating and responding to them.

Coordinate with other team members to assess the impact and implement corrective actions.

Prepare incident reports and document lessons learned.

Firewall Analysis Preparation

Prepare for upcoming manual firewall analysis.

Schedule meetings with application owners to discuss audit procedures and gather necessary information.

Review previous audit reports and update audit checklists.
Qualifications & Experience:

Associates or Bachelor's Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience
5-10 years of experience in Information Technology
5-7 years of experience in Network Engineering
5 years of experience in Security

Job Types: Temporary, Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
