What you will do:
As a Full Stack .Net Developer, you will serve as the primary resource on application development projects and build both internal and community-facing applications that help the City deliver services to the Salem community. You will help the City improve technology solutions by recommending business process and system improvements, identify efficiencies, and streamline workflows.

You will work on a variety of projects and will collaborate with different stakeholders and team members, including department staff, IT technical staff, and vendors to ensure successful, timely delivery of projects and solutions.

In addition to application and interface development, you will administer applications, design and develop database and table specifications, analyze systems interface requirements, and use a variety of tools to develop and generate reports to provide business intelligence data to City leadership.

Position schedule is Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Our team follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office (295 Church Street, SE, Suite 210, Salem, OR 97301), as needed, based on demands of specific tasks and manager approval. This is subject to change based on business needs.

What are the minimum qualifications?

Must pass the pre-employment background check.
Must have an Oregon Driver license and have a driving record that meets the City of Salem's driving standards.
Must pass criminal background check necessary to obtain Criminal Justice Information System clearance and Law Enforcement Data System certification within 30 days of hire (clearance must be maintained throughout employment).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, software engineering, business or closely related field, and five years of professional level information technology experience including business process analysis, application design, computer programming, and project management, or any combination of experience and training that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and abilities as listed, and ability to perform the essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (Not required to apply):

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience leading projects, application design and development, working in a team environment, and/or providing support for an enterprise public utility management application.
