Role Overview:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data center solutions that support our clients' Windows, virtualization, and cloud environments. Your role will involve optimizing all aspects of infrastructure performance, ensuring data security, and collaborating with teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced systems while driving innovation for our clients’ IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Implementation:
- Virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware, others)
- Virtualization management solutions (e.g. vCenter, SCVMM)
- Storage solutions tailored to client needs, including SAN, NAS, and hybrid cloud storage.
- Integrate storage systems within Windows Server, VMware, and Cloud storage environments.
- Data center infrastructure including iSCSI, Fiber Channel, and converged networking
- Management & Optimization:
- Monitor and manage critical data center infrastructure systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery:
- Develop and maintain backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Implement data protection and retention policies aligned with client compliance requirements.
- Proactively test system recovery and report results to stakeholders
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and clients to develop scalable solutions.
- Operate as an escalation support point for complex storage, virtualization, and virtualization management-related issues.
- Documentation & Best Practices:
- Create and maintain “Standard Operating Procedures” for recovery for each client
- Review and train team members on recovery procedures as needed
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL practices and organizational standards.
- Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in storage engineering, including SAN/NAS systems.
- Expertise in managing Server environments and VMware virtualization.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud storage solutions, including Blob, Files, and Disks.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of iSCSI, Fiber Channel, RAID, and other storage technologies.
- Proficiency with backup and replication tools such as Veeam, Datto Siris, or Azure Backup.
- Solid knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
- Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, Pure/HPE Storage Certifications, or similar.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
