Senior .NET Developer
Location: Onsite; Cottonwood Heights, Utah

Capstone IT is helping our premier client to fill the position of Senior .NET Developer. This role requires providing technical expertise in system architecture, design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience similar to a programmer analyst role- evaluating off the shelf software solutions, recommending strategies to management, anticipating future technology needs, and mentoring the application development team. This is a permanent position with the end client and has a requirement of being on call on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical efforts for complex projects in system and application architecture and development.
- Provide technical guidance and direct the work of software engineers and analysts.
- Maintain primary technical responsibility for the development and integration of critical business applications.
- Engage in project planning, system analysis, software design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, and research for engineering projects.
- Ensure software development conforms to optimization, interoperability standards, and secure practices.
- Serve as a consultant on IT strategy and business requirements.
- Identify technology deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry standards and apply them appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Six or more years of enterprise level, professional experience in business software design, development, integration, and installation.
- Proficient in programming, application security, and software development tools.
- Experience with integration of COTS (Commercial off the Shelf applications) is a plus.
- Knowledge of relational database technology, structured analysis, and design patterns.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Ability to analyze business needs and communicate effectively.
