Our project needs a .NET Developer (possibly a Senior .NET Developer) to help develop a “community commerce” application. This app will be used by businesses in the South Bay / Beach Cities of California to connect with their customers in a new type of local retail. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the full software design life cycle.

This will be a fully remote position except that you’ll need to be in southern California to meet sometimes on Artesia Blvd. in Redondo Beach. South Bay residents preferred.

The expected term is 6-12 months, full time, could be shorter if not a good fit, longer if a great fit.

Technical skills needed are:

· ASP.NET Core Razor Pages

· C#

· .NET Core Entity Framework

· (optional) ASP.NET Core Identity Framework

· Sql Server, Sql

· Html 5

· Css 3

· Javascript

· Bootstrap

· jQuery

· GitHub

· Visual Studio 2022 IDE preferred, or VS Code

· GitHub Copilot (or some other AI tool) used to increase productivity

· Azure

· Agile methodology

· Azure Dev Ops or equivalent (Jira, other)

General skills needed are:

· Understand existing code to make modifications

· Design, code, and test new modules and capabilities

· Absorb and use design standards, both industry-wide and project-specific

· Work from neat hand-drawn sketches and notes at times

· Get and give design reviews

· Think creatively to brainstorm simple solutions

Additional:

· Experience in style/fashion/apparel retail commerce systems will be a plus

· Experience with eCommerce systems is a plus (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon APIs. Walmart APIs, etc.)

· Can be contract work (1099, corp-to-corp or sole prop) or employment (W-2).

There is brief initial training and design materials are provided. Then you’ll work a daily rhythm with check ins on most days. We work with GitHub for the code repo and some todo/issue list (maybe ADO or Jira or other).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
