NAR Solutions, LLC (the “Company”) is a privately owned niche financial and real estate asset acquisitions and servicing company based in Omaha, NE.
The Company is seeking a .NET developer to join its development team on a part-time basis. To assist with its daily operations, the Company uses an existing, proprietary .NET application (SQL Server backend) which was originally developed and managed by a developer who remains currently engaged by the Company. The Company has determined that it needs an additional and dedicated resource to focus on addressing existing bugs and future enhancements for the application. The Company currently holds regular and weekly development meetings and this role will be delegated certain tasks as a result of these meetings.
This position will report to and receive instruction from a single individual. This position is not expected to involve story-building and/or requirement gathering as the current development team will prepare those documents.
At this time, the Company expects that the position will provide for at least 10-15 hours of work each week. Additionally, the Company may consider engaging in a more substantial and/or full-time relationship with a proven and reliable candidate. Compensation will be negotiated and commensurate with experience and availability. This is a 100% remote position with non-business hour communication via email allowed—business hours are 9 AM – 5 PM Central.
The candidate should possess a proven track record highlighting the following core competencies/experience:
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Strong organizational skills
- Eye for detail and commitment to accuracy
- Effective written and oral communicator
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, jQuery, SQL, Entity Framework, .NET, Vue JS, Azure DevOps, database design, and continuous development protocols
- Finance, banking, or similar professional industry experience is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional development experience
- Minimum of 2 years of .NET / C# professional development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of training and documented work experience
The position shall have the following core responsibilities:
- Based on specific direction from the development team, develop new system features and functionality
- Based on specific direction from the development team, research and resolve system bugs
- As needed, identify and recommend opportunities to simplify/streamline code and code management in an effort to improve system performance and increase the efficiency of debugging code
- Develop, test, and deploy code in compliance with the Company’s existing development cycle utilizing Azure DevOps
- As new features are created, prepare end-user training manuals for those features
- Other development tasks, as assigned
