Description:
- Software Engineering consists of the development, introduction and application of software to respond to customer requirements and to cost-effectively provide a means of analyzing, producing, distributing and storing information. Under general guidance of supervisor or more experienced engineer, perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices. Pursue initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase customer satisfaction.
- This is not a greenfield project and we are not completely rewriting the main app, this role is focused on evolving the application while active development for ongoing projects continue.
- Main tasks will be focused on modernizing a legacy .NET Framework application used to process engineering data and send it to appropriate ERP systems, as well as other applications/projects as assigned.
Tasks will include:
- Translating VB.NET code into C#
- Updating/replacing code as needed to migrate from .NET Framework to .NET 8
- General rearchitecting of components to improve cohesion and testability
- Updates to improve security posture of application
- PoC work to migrate application to cloud PaaS solution from current IaaS solution

Schedule - 9am- 5pm M-F
