Work Location: Remote & Onsite (1920 Technology Parkway, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050) when required.
Work hours: 8AM to 5PM (hourlong lunch)
Start date can be ID'd upon after compliant PATCH and PSDC-related clearance has been processed and approved.
This req is available to candidates nationwide, but candidate must be ready to relocate for this hybrid position (60% remote vs. 40% onsite). Candidate must go onsite on their first day to pick up commonwealth-issued equipment, possible badging, etc.. This position will be funded another fiscal year (7/1/25 – 6/30/26).
PSDC (Public Safety Delivery Center) requires the services of a Senior Cloud Engineer to act as consultant with the PSDC Solutions Management group. This person will be part of the team working primarily for PSDC enterprise team with strong focus on multi cloud environment which includes Microsoft Azure & AWS and will be responsible for both the design, development of Cloud-Native solutions for a wide-range of business processes within the PSDC. They must demonstrate their technical expertise and experience by having personally performed these activities during their past projects and engagements rather than just participating on a team that was responsible for these activities. Strong understanding of cloud computing and hands-on experience of migrating workloads to Azure or AWS.
Role Description:
Ø Design, Develop and support Cloud-Native applications and API development using NET, NET Core and Containers
Ø Experience in Microsoft Azure Services (App Service, Service Fabric, Azure Service bus, API Management, Logic Apps and Azure Functions)
Ø Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure AWS-based solutions.
Ø Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, and more.
Ø Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Azure AKS, Azure Container Apps, Cloud Foundry).
Ø Experience in DevOps tools like Azure DevOps and Library Management tools like Arti factory or NuGet
Ø Strong understanding of Cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, load balancing, storage, etc.
Ø Creating, deploying, configuring, and scaling applications on Azure PaaS.
Ø Hands on experience on Azure storage services like SQL MI, SQL DB, Tables, Files and Blobs.
Ø Good knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, VNET, NSG Rules, VPN Gateways and Express Route).
Ø Work collaboratively as a key contributor on an Azure migration/development for high performing team
Ø Hands on experience in implementing RESTful webservices and SOAP services in cloud
Ø Develop integration solutions, including REST APIs, event driven/queue-based integrations
Ø Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
Ø Must have experience in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management.
Ø Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
Ø Supports the configuration, deployment and execution of CI/CD pipelines in alignment with SDLC methodologies.
Ø Knowledge of networking engineering including DNS, Active Directory, Firewall, Load balancers, etc.
