Visual Foxpro Developer

Analyze legacy systems written in Fox26 DOS for conversion to VFP9. Developer will be involved in all aspects of the SDLC. Once converted to VFP9, developer will aid in the task of developing .NET Intranet applications based on some of the converted legacy systems.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Work on-site in our Long Beach office (we cannot sponsor H-1B Visas)
Maintain current legacy system Fox26 DOS while developing replacement VFP9 applications
Analyze legacy systems by department/job function: document current legacy operations, analyze system flow and work processes, and investigate problem areas
Design and develop new software solutions in VFP9 to improve the functionality of each legacy application
Work with SQL Server 2008-2020 stored procedures
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features in VFP9
Debug existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components

Qualifications:

Experience with Fox26 DOS programming and conversion to VFP 9
5+ years of Application Programming and Development experience with FoxPro
Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and work independently
Solid understanding of SQL 2008 and above database programming and performance implications
Visual Studio, C#, VB, Net, HTML skills a plus
Strong English communication skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
