Our next phase involves enhancing an existing product—initially built for internal use—with the long-term goal of launching it as a SaaS solution. Position Overview:
We’re seeking a seasoned developer with strong leadership skills to drive the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for our innovative product. The ideal candidate will be an expert in .NET Core 8.0, Entity Framework, C#, Razor, and Blazor, with hands-on development experience as well as proven leadership in managing high-performing teams. Experience with cloud solutions—particularly Azure—and proficiency in Azure DevOps for source code management and CI/CD pipelines are critical. While expertise in RESTful APIs is a must, familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is considered a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

Roadmapping & Design: Lead technical roadmapping, design, and architecture discussions to enhance and evolve our existing product.
Best Practices: Define and enforce best practices for development, documentation, and team communication.
SaaS Transformation: Spearhead the strategic evolution of our product from an internal tool to a scalable SaaS solution, navigating potential challenges and defining a long-term strategy.
Market & Customer Focus: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather customer feedback and align product features with market needs.

Development & Implementation:

Hands-on Coding: Develop and maintain the application using .NET Core 8.0, Entity Framework, C#, Razor, and Blazor.
API Development: Build and integrate robust RESTful APIs for effective data exchange between systems.
Cloud & Deployment: Leverage Azure cloud services, manage deployments via Azure DevOps, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Testing, Quality Assurance, & Performance:

Quality Focus: Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
Security & Compliance: Enforce secure coding practices and ensure adherence to data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA), given the sensitive nature of mental health data. Familiarity with relevant security certifications (such as Azure security certifications) is a plus.
Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance with proven strategies, implementing tools for monitoring, logging, and debugging in distributed systems.

Agile & Collaborative Process Management:

Methodology: Utilize Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to promote iterative development and effective project management.
Cross-Functional Engagement: Engage actively with non-technical stakeholders (product managers, business analysts, etc.) to translate business needs into technical requirements and roadmaps.
Customer & Stakeholder Interaction: Interact directly with clients and end-users by gathering requirements, conducting demos, and integrating feedback into the product roadmap.
Soft Skills & Leadership:
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, conflict resolution, and collaboration abilities across diverse teams.
Mentorship & Team Building: Mentor junior developers, foster a collaborative team culture, and manage performance to build a high-performing team.
Team Oversight: Oversee team recruitment, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution to maintain a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Future Integration & Continuous Improvement:

Innovation: Collaborate on future enhancements, including the integration of predictive modeling for patient outcomes.
Industry Engagement: Stay ahead of industry trends through active participation in developer communities, open source contributions, or technical evangelism.
AI/ML Integration: Work closely with data scientists (or future dedicated roles) to ensure seamless integration of AI/ML capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in .NET development, with deep expertise in .NET Core 8.0, Entity Framework, and C#.
5+ years of experience leading development teams or technical projects.
Proven expertise in Razor and Blazor.
Strong experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Solid experience with Entity Framework and Microsoft SQL Server.
Familiarity with front-end technologies, including JavaScript and Bootstrap.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills):

Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
Exposure to integrating or planning for AI/ML solutions, especially in predictive modeling.
