Job Description:
A government agency is seeking an experienced .NET Lead Developer to support the Mainframe Transformation Project by modernizing and enhancing business applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET Core, C#, MS-SQL, JSON, and Swagger, along with the ability to lead development efforts, provide technical guidance, and resolve complex issues.
This role involves working in an Agile-like SDLC environment, collaborating across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the seamless development, testing, and deployment of online form applications critical to regulatory requirements for the Oil, Gas, and Energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design and develop .NET Core applications and components while ensuring adherence to industry best practices and agency standards.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis, resolve technical issues, and enhance system efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of developers, guide junior team members, and coordinate with project teams for sprint and release tasks.
- Database & API Integration: Work on database schema changes and develop custom integrations with the RBDMS platform using RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute unit tests, regression tests, and test scripts to ensure a high-quality, error-free product.
- Deployment & Support: Assist in code deployments and application support, including availability for some nights and weekends as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must meet or exceed the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of professional experience in .NET development with C#.
- 8+ years of experience in .NET Core development in a team environment.
- 4+ years of experience leading a development team.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS-SQL databases and query optimization.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio IDE, and broadly distributed version control.
- Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of Telerik/Kendo UI controls for frontend development.
- Ability to create and maintain unit tests and regression tests.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Availability for support during nights and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GoAnywhere – Secure File Transfer Software.
- Hands-on experience with Azure multi-environment deployments.
- Experience with PDF document manipulation using iText.
