Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Senior Manager- Technical Projects to join our Data Analytics & Insights team. This role combines expertise in managing complex data-driven projects with a deep understanding of
Power BI,
data architecture,
data pipelines, and
data engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
project management,
change management, and be comfortable working with technical teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. You will be a key player in driving the success of data analytics projects, supporting follow-ups during discovery calls, and ensuring technical accuracy during quality checks.
Job responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Manage the end-to-end process for data analytics and insights projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Track project progress, resources, and scope to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate team efforts and proactively resolve project issues to keep things on track.
- Change Management:
- Support teams through technological changes, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
- Help manage stakeholder expectations and assist in the adoption of new data systems and processes.
- Provide guidance and support to team members as they adjust to new technologies.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize your knowledge of Power BI, data architecture, data pipelines, and data engineering to revise timelines and educate the business
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects to ensure effective data solutions and architecture.
- Provide support during quality checks, ensuring that the technical aspects of the data and analytics solutions are accurate and robust.
- Quality Control & Discovery Calls:
- Oversee quality checks on data-driven solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and technical standards.
- Participate in discovery calls, helping to define project scope, gather requirements, and outline technical specifications.
- Ensure the project team addresses technical challenges and delivers high-quality solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support the team in technical discussions and help troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, project management, and/or data engineering.
- Proven experience in managing complex data projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of Power BI models and experience with data architecture, data pipelines, and data engineering.
- Understanding of change management principles and experience helping teams navigate technological transitions.
- Solid technical background with the ability to follow up on technical details and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications).
- Hands-on experience with data tools like SQL, Python, or other ETL/ELT tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) for data solutions.
- Prior experience in a managerial role within a data-driven environment.
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $140,000- 150,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
