Backend Software Engineer who is responsible for Calendar product feature development, Build & deployment activities, tech stack upgrade, Resolving Security & Customer report tickets, and Cloud migration related activities.
Location: New York, NY 10003 (REMOTE)
Preferred Time Zone: EST & PST
Position: Backend Software Engineer
Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr. on W2 (depending on experience)
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 1st shift, M-F, 40 hrs. a week, must be flexible to work EST & PST

The calendar engineering team develops solutions powering our mail brands, including a next-generation infrastructure that we are 100% moving to a native public cloud architecture.
- The calendar team is responsible for creating the next-generation calendar and notepad experience, along with the supporting infrastructure, to help users effortlessly manage their daily lives.
Key Team Goals
- Calendar product feature development, Build & deployment activities, tech stack upgrade, Resolving Security & Customer report tickets, Cloud migration related activities.
Primary Responsibilities (daily/weekly)
- TBD, team follows agile methodology, follows bi-weekly sprints and tickets can be assigned as per priority.

- Calendar product feature development, Build & deployment activities, tech stack upgrade, Resolving Security & Customer report tickets, Cloud migration related activities.
Success Metrics Or KPIs For This Role
- Able to medium complex tasks independently in 1-2 months of time.
How is success measured?
- Meeting deadlines, meeting goals and objectives. Delivering of features requests/change requests with quality in production.
Must-have Skills/qualifications (technical, Soft Skills, Certifications, Tools)
Java, working experience with web servers like Tomcat/Jetty/SpringBoot, Docker, Kubernetes framework, TestNG framework
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Oracle
- Cloud Experience with AWS/GCP
- Experience with continuous integration pipelines
- Experience building web applications to serve REST APIs
