About The Role:
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Columbus, OH reporting to Director of Software Engineering. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in software development to contribute to both our web portal and RFID scanning applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C#, Angular, and WPF
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and well-documented code that meets performance and security standards
- Lead technical problem-solving and debugging efforts on complex software issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and help define and enforce coding best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior software engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Optimize application scalability and performance, especially in data-heavy or distributed systems
- Integrate software solutions with RFID technology, SQL Server, and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Contribute to database design and implementation of database schemas and data access layers.
- Author and contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and system architecture discussions
- Apply secure coding practices and maintain a risk-aware mindset, especially in regulated or sensitive environments
- Engage with medical device projects, understanding related regulatory considerations as needed
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose forward-thinking solutions to improve team efficiency and product quality
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5 years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with at least one of: Angular, .Net, medical device software, or inventory management software development.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET framework.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git, Bitbucket) and Cloud infrastructure (e.g. Azure, AWS).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WPF and desktop application development.
- Experience developing software for medical devices.
- Knowledge of RFID technology and its applications.
- Familiarity with medical device regulations or experience in a regulated industry.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

- Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week
