Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to help lead and oversee the delivery of a project for one of our customers. The project is currently entering into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and this role is to help guide it thru to go-live and the support handoff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of project management methodologies, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion. This role requires a proactive approach to managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Duties
- Drive project planning effort and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables for UAT phase.
- Create cutover plan and lead the go-live
- Oversee the handover to the data ops team
- Develop a plan for the retirement of the current/legacy application
- Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track.
- Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development and cloud computing principles, particularly with Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience in a Senior IT Project Manager role or similar capacity, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and experience working with Azure is required.
- Strong understanding of various project management methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience defining, tracking and conducting the UAT phase of a project.
- Experience defining & tracking the project cutover
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Azure projects.
- Familiarity with MS Azure tools such as SQL Server, Power BI, Azure Data Factory ADF, Power Apps

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
