Job Description:
The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer - Technical Specialist to join the cloud services team. This position will focus on supporting NCDIT’s project and operational needs related to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The contractor will assist in on-boarding customers to cloud platforms, resolve cloud-related service tickets, and support customers with issues and inquiries, all while collaborating with the cloud services team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for on-boarding customers to AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Manage and resolve customer support tickets related to various cloud services.
- Assist cloud service customers with inquiries and troubleshoot issues across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Collaborate with the cloud services team on daily operations and project tasks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP), with expertise in infrastructure services such as IAM, Organizations, and Landing Zones.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security compliance, with knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud networking services and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of high availability and redundant cloud service architectures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Deep knowledge of cloud high availability and redundancy services to ensure business continuity.
- Strong skills in cloud networking and security to optimize and safeguard cloud environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively and support customers with cloud-related technical inquiries.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
